Where can I take my theory test?

Updated: Jan 26

Check below for a list of test centres across the UK

New test centres

There have been some changes recently with regards to test centre locations. So if you have taken a theory test recently and need to take one again, it might be worth checking if that test centre is still open or has been moved to somewhere else.

All though some of the centres have changed locations, the way the test is conducted has not changed. Check out What will happen on my theory test.

Where should I take my theory test?

When it comes to taking your theory tests, there are places all over the UK where you can take it. Unlike the practical driving test, it shouldn’t really matter where you take it as you will just be in a room in front of a computer.

The main thing you have to think about is how easy it will be for you to get there. During the booking process, you will be asked to provide your postcode. The system will then give you a list of test centres that are local to that postcode. You can choose the one that is most convenient for you.

It may be worth checking out different test centres if you aren't getting the date that you want.

If you’re not sure about when you should take your theory test, check out this article. When should I take my theory test?

What is the nearest theory test centre near me?

To find this out, you will have to go the .gov website and start the booking service. Or you can search below on our list of centres in the UK.
