The hazard perception is a big part of the theory test. You have to pass it in order to pass the theory test.
What is the pass mark for the hazard perception test?
To pass it, you have to score at least 44 out of 75.
How is the hazard perception scored?
You are shown video clips as if you are driving a car. In the clips, there will be a hazard. When you see this hazard, you have to click on the clip. A red flag will show when you click. Depending on where you click, you are scored between 0 and 5.
What if I press all the time?
If you press too much, that clip will be disallowed and you won't get any points for it. This will increase the chance of you failing so it's important to practice before attempting the test.
How can I practice the hazard perception test?
Good theory test apps such as Theory Test Hero will have the hazard perception section within the app so that you can practice as much as you want.
