Are mock tests worth doing?

When it comes to mock tests, some swear by them where as others say they are a waste of time.

As a driving instructor, I think mock tests are an essential part of learning to drive, Here are the advantages of taking a mock test:

• You get a feeling of what it's going to be like when you are being tested

• You get to drive without too much help, just like in the real test

• You get to see where you might have weak areas in your driving

When should I take a mock test?

This depends on you and how quickly you learn to drive. Some people can do one after 20 or so hours where others may need a little more.

Once you can drive without too much intervention from your instructor, you can start thinking about taking a mock test.
